MUCH MIXED.
Alas! Poor Agnes is Betrayed, and
Dion Proves a Rogue; She Says
He's Read up Meaner Parts
Than His "Arrah
Na Pogue."1
Parnell Spoke in the Emerald Isle
His Land League to Recruit; But
Hungry Erin Only Gave
Him Groans and Bad
Hen-Fruit.2
Two Ships are Sailing on the Blue,
Sounding with Lead and
Trawl; But the Isthmus
Natives Fear They
Mean to Eat That
Ship Canawl.3
Withdrawl Stiffs, Becoming Old,
Blaine Knows Not How to
Slant4; Bit a Brother-in-
Law's Passed in His
Chips5—Of Course
That Settles
Grant.
